Chapter 7: Probability
- Definition of sample space, event and outcome.
- Definition of a probability function.
- Know how to calculate probabilities for sample spaces consisting of equally likely outcomes.
- Know the compliment theorem.
- Know P(A union B) = P(A) + P(B) - P(A intersection B).
- Know the definition of conditional probability and be able to calculate conditional probabilities.
- Know the Multiplication Rule for Conditional Probability and be able to apply it.
- Understand the definition of independence.
- Know Bayes Theorem and how to apply it.

- Review homework problems and feel free to visit me during office hours.
- Review examples done in class.
